Happy Halloween!

Unlike most college students I didn't go out to party for Halloween because of the conference. I was just too tired. Which means I didn't get to dress up or buy a costume. I didn't really mind because I can never decide what to be. The smartest idea is to not buy a costume, but piece together a costume from the clothes you already have. Don't worry if people can tell who you are. It's a great conversation starter! If you have to buy a key piece like sunglasses to look like Jackie O then make sure it's a piece you can wear again.

Here are some of the most creative and ridiculous ideas are these which I found in a free paper in Louisville. My favorite is the sexy shower curtain and my friend's favorite is the sexy skunk. Please don't do this ever!

Chanel, Coco Rocha, and Crystal Renn Oh My!

I meant to do this forever ago, but I need to say how much I love the Chanel Spring/Summer Fashion Show. It was a little bit Goth and a lot classic. Karl Lagerfeld did it again and blew me away.

What I loved most was his use of real sized model Crystal Renn. I read her autobiography Hungry and it was seriously the best memoir by a famous person I read. It made me feel so much better about myself. I am super glad that big named designers are realizing the beauty of people who are size two or zero. And what a good marketing technique it is. Not every rich person is stick thin so it makes the high end labels stand out when they recognize that.

Here are some pictures from the show thanks to style.com

Everyone is talking about Justin Bieber.......

.....But I am talking about hiatuses.

I am coming back after a long absence ready to make this blog better than before. I am currently at a CMA, College Media Advisor's conference in Louisville, Kentucky with my school newspaper The Colonnade. I've been to so many sessions about blogging and I'm pumped to make this blog so much cooler. I will still be talking about fashion, but I'm going to try and branch out. Everyone talks about the fashion shows, but not many people make it relate to real life. So I'm going to be talking about how to make trends work for your budget and shape. I should know because I am a poor college student who has gained the freshman 15 and more. Please check back for more updates! and no more of these posts will include Justin Bieber unless you want me to......
